Testing Services
What is Testing?
What can testing help with?
- Understanding diagnoses and informing treatment
- Assessing for ADHD, ASD, and a variety of other diagnoses
- Support for school accommodations, for both primary and secondary education
- Support for advanced school accommodations, such as IEPs and 504 plans
- Evaluating current level of functioning
- Highlighting strengths to focus on in order to improve your life
What does testing look like?
- A least a one hour session to gather background data and information
- Several sessions, usually two to three, are dedicated to administering psychological tests, a combination of cognitive, objective, and projective measures
- The psychologist works on compiling a diagnostic report that can be utilized by other professionals and providers.
- Final session to receive feedback from the report and discuss the recommendations being made
- Recommendations may include changes in the home and school environment, behavioral changes, referrals for additional services, or medication management services
